Title : Supporting teacher inquiry: Finding the time
Description : Our early successes make clear that efforts to foster teacher inquiry into student learning really does lead to improving our students' learning opportunities. Yet those successes have also taught us that teacher inquiry takes substantial teacher time, and fostering it requires a substantial time commitment. Where can we find that time, given the busyness of our classrooms and our schools? Our experiences to date have pointed to as-yet-untapped resources that could mean more teachers inquiring into student learning, with greater collaboration and support, and even stronger effects on learning.
