Title : Creating a student-centered learning environment using technology in the classroom
Description : Technology applications are key in mediating processes for classroom pedagogy that is personalized and differentiated so that each student is engaged in meaningful learning. In this session, music pedagogy is used to discuss the promotion of student-centered learning using experiential learning and related constructivist approaches. Through the use of the computer in music skill acquisition, and the simulation of rich and authentic instrumental environments, students of intermediate to advanced levels, are motivated by participating in a fun musical experience.
