Title : Spirit Way Initiative: Wolves without borders
Description : Wolves without Borders has been a multi-year initiative which links Ecole Riverside School, Thompson, Manitoba with the IWC -International Wolf Centre in Ely, Minnesota to schools in Douglas, Minnesota and Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. Each year students are able to connect with each other, as well as benefit from educational programs offered by the IWC, using digital technology. SWI-Spirit Way Inc spearheaded this connection, as well as other projects. Spirit Way is a 2.5km walking and hiking pathway from Heritage North Museum to the Miles Hart Bridge. Spirit Way is an award winning organization which is designated a Manitoba Star Attraction. SWI has also developed a GPS Wolf Hunt Passport where participants can locate uniquely decorated Wolf statues in Thompson, Churchill and Winnipeg.
