Title : Enacting critical pedagogy and challenging conformity in teacher education: A tale of two educators
Description : This presentation shares findings from a duoethnographic inquiry conducted by a teacher candidate and a teacher educator. The research is grounded in critical pedagogy and explores efforts at challenging conformity within teacher education programs, and the possibilities for enacting change when spaces are created to foster critical dialogue and action. Implication for teacher education policies and programs are discussed.
