Title : Using co-operative learning to scaffold inquiry
Description : Using a co-operative learning approach, I have introduced inquiry into my teacher education courses. This case-based approach allows the students to challenge their viewpoints and those of their colleagues based on the research literature, their teaching philosophies, and their experiences as learners and teachers. Outcomes include a greater sense of belonging, personal development, and critical thinking skills. Key practical factors that are essential to using this strategy effectively will be presented.
